Ass Kicking 2020

Image
Yeah, okay...so xmas is still a couple of days away, but this is more exciting for me.  My blog, my whims.  Deal with it.  Whatevs. New Year's Resolutions. We all make them, even if we say we don't...even if we tell ourselves we won't. I have started the last several years with the same mindset; "I will make it a better year than this last one was."  Essentially, I strive to learn something, and better myself in some way.  Make some personal growth. 2019 has been a year of immense growth for me, and I am absolutely a different person than I was in 2018.  It has been a better year than the last one was. Now, going in to 2020, I am happily making a list of things that I will do; "resolve", if you will. I am making a wonderful list of New Year's Resolutions for this coming year.  I'm going to be bold enough to state here, on record, that I will return at the end of next December, and report where I have succeeded along that list. The Fucking Wall

Image
This is my relatively current state.  I have been sticking at around 175 pounds since...like...summer.  I'm tired of "dieting". My impulse is to work out harder , but the advice is not to do that.  So I have strategized to cut my calories back further, in an attempt to see if that's where I need to make a change.  If I'm being honest, I need to do better at sticking to my caloric limits. I am frustrated with myself.  I know that I'm the only reason what I've been doing hasn't been working. Psychologically and physically; I have hit the fucking wall. Scrolling through my Instagram feed this week, I came across a post by @graciesjourney, about a DietBet contest she has, starting January 1st.  I signed up. Why not take a gamble on my progress? I mean, if money is at stake, it might make me strongly consider eating...

Can Witchcraft Help With Fitness?

Image
Ahhhhh, all powerful witches.  So mystical.  So resourceful.  So many candles. Can all those spells and potions make me fit af? Well, no...and yes. I truly don't think that the craft could take you from squatting 200 pounds one day, to 600 pounds overnight. And the craft won't facilitate losing 100 pounds in a hot minute, either. No...the only path to those goals (or whichever goals you've set) are patience and consistency, and discipline.  Work, work, work. However, that doesn't mean that we can't consult with the craft to help us keep patient, stay consistent, and build discipline. Let's explore how, with a little case study, featuring a fictional witch woman we'll name, "Ursula". Ursula is a witch who has set a SMART goal to lose weight and improve her fitness.  Let's say she wants to lose 20 pounds in the next 12 months. She's calculated the daily calories and macros she needs to stick to for fat loss.  She ...
